Plan a day’s work

Choose what to move forward today and break larger tasks into a step you can start.

Capture new work in Unscheduled

Create a task when a request arrives and describe the result it needs. Leave it in Unscheduled until you decide when to start.

For ‘Prepare the client proposal’, keep the client’s question, existing materials, and delivery requirements in the note.

Choose what you’ll work on today

Review your existing plan and select realistic work from Unscheduled. Set its start date to today and leave other tasks for later planning.

Add due dates for actual commitments. The start date expresses the plan; the due date records the deadline.

Today contains the work you intend to advance. Ideas without a date stay in Unscheduled.

Break out the first concrete step

If a proposal still feels too broad, add subtasks such as ‘Check client requirements’, ‘Outline the proposal’, and ‘Verify pricing sources’.

Schedule the step you need today and give later steps suitable dates. Use each subtask’s note for findings and materials.

Leave a place to resume tomorrow

Check finished tasks. For unfinished ones, record progress and what is missing, then adjust the next start date.

When waiting for someone, schedule a concrete follow-up or reply check that you can carry out.
